ohh centerpieces

i am slightly turning into a scary person and i don't like it.

the bride-ness and crunch time is getting to me :)

but all the lovely people in my life are reminding me to just smile.

like when I was playing around with centerpieces and stuck this on the table.

my dad took one look and it and said dead-serious, 

"what is that? Is it for if someone has to throw up?"

My cousin was asking me if I had any good ideas on how she could ask her boyfriend to her high school's tolo coming up in February. umm.... do i have ideas... psshhh. millions.

I feel like since Pinterest has been created and I have been dating Drew I have always come across fun ways to ask your ladies to be your bridesmaids and stand up there with you on your big day.

Actually, I feel like I have probably spent more time thinking about how to do this, then a lot of guys spend thinking of how to pop the question and PROPOSE to their lovely ladies. :)

After I convinced myself they probably wouldn't want me to jump out of a big box with balloons on their doorstep or go on a scavenger hunt across the town, I combined a few Pinterest ideas and came up with this!

simply find a fun bottle of wine that goes well with your girl's taste/personality/ has a fun name etc. and write up a cute little poem :)

and it even works out better if your sister HATES wine and will probably never drink it, so she will have to save it forever and ever and ever and ever ;) got that, mand? :)

this bottle is PERFECT for her. :) is it any good? eh. who cares. it's all about the appearance, baby ;)

so once again, consider yourself warned if the wine at my wedding has the best label/color scheme EVER, but tastes like rusty water :) I will have a fun girly, cosmopolitan-y drink to chase it with :)

and by the way, it worked :)

i thought i was officially a "crafter." today i went to jo-ann fabrics TWICE because i kept forgetting stuff to make my craft that i DIDN'T copy from pinterest! the second time, i strutted in. knew right where to go to grab my number and wait for the fabric lady to call me so she could cut my 1 yard of cloth. psshh. i was so pro at this whole "craft store thing" now, i didn't even need a basket.
went to check-out, had the same cashier lady as this morning. i flashed her my biggest smile and said, "i'm back again" thinking she would be like ooohh look at this little miss martha stewart.
she swiped my debit card, gave me a little pity smile and said,

"oh honey, this store is intimidating to everyone the first few times they come in. it takes newbies at least two store visits per day their first few times to remember everything they need to finish their project."

well then. sticker labels for everyone on their christmas presents next year. don't say i didn't warn ya ;)

I remember when I graduated high school (umm... almost TEN years by the way?!?!?) I had sooo many awesome, inspirational cards from all the people that I love most in life :)

They all had such good advice, quotes and just made me so happy. I remember thinking, "okay. I know someday I am going to want to re-read these and show them to my kids when they are skipping class and on the brink of failing pre-calculus and not graduating" but in the meaaannntime...

What do you do with them??

or all those fun 21st birthday cards, or baby shower cards, or get-better-soon cards when you got that horrible call from the doctors office. You want to save them and keep them all in one place, but where!?!?!
