i LOOOVEEEE halloween.
like as I usually go through like 10 costumes each halloween week (yes, it calls for a weeklong celebration) and have my pumpkin carved by the first week of October.
this year me and this silly husband of mine decided to have a lowkey night at home.
we rented a movie and prepared for the masses of trick-or-treaters with our BIG bowl of the best candy ever by the front door.
well. we didn't have any trick or treaters so we decided to head to DQ so I could try a pumpkin pie blizzard. i don't even LIKE pumpkin pie blizzards but it was AMAZING. graham cracker chunks and all. i highly recommend.
so we are pulling back into the driveway and I see a lantern shining on the street, a good ole sure-tell sign of a trick or treater. I park the car, run into the street like a crazy person and say, "HEY! WE HAVE LOTS OF CANDY! I'LL MEET YOU AT THE FRONT PORCH."
So I truck it inside and sprint through the house.
A cute little ladybug meets me and politely says,
"one piece or a handful?" at least he asked, I suppose.
I give him literally a pound of candy.
yep. I said, him.
a boy ladybug.
before he leaves he looks at me and says,
"your house isn't very spooky"
hmm. i wanted to say, "umm what??? you are a BOY ladybug and you are trying to talk to ME about being spooky?"
umm. yeah.
so we had one trick or treater. and i just got to live vicariously through pictures of baby Ford as an elephant and baby Charlotte the cow :)
well. i dressed up for work.
clue of what i was?
i asked my mom if she wanted me to send her a picture of me in my costume and she said, "honey I already have 700...) ;)
yep. i did it.
SOOO not as fun. major pain in fact. :)
but that's okay. thanks halloween, you were fun.
but now we are on to bigger and better things.
my first holiday season as a coffee drinker and i couldn't be more excited :)
