Man Pies

Yesterday I hung out with our friends who are relocating from California back up here to good ole Washington. They used to live here and were (still are) our bestest family friends :)

For lunch we ventured to MAN PIES.

A new little restaurant in downtown Bellingham. I was VERY unsure. Man Pies? Are women allowed? Do men get a discount? And the looming question... What is a MAN PIE?

Let me tell ya. Man Pies are little pot-pies. They had like five flavors ranging from basic chicken and vegetables to barbecued pork and beans to Indian curry.

The little pies have a cute little design cut into the top and they came in these little to-go bags.

It was pretty delicious, actually. Maybe not the best choice on a hot summer's day, but I think I like the concept. But then I felt kinda weird that I liked Man Pies. Like is it a "manly" food? Should I be ashamed? Should you pretend like you are buying it for a guy the next time you go in with just girls? hehe ;)

For dinner we tried to hit up the local hot dog stand that sells deep fried oreos, snickers and a hot dog called "dog in heat" which has jalapenos and cheese ;) The stand is called Neiner Neiner Weiner. Unfortunately, they were closed.

So Man Pies and Neiner Neiner Weiner all in one day :) Definitely girly food, right? ;)
