My Rant! You are Pre-warned!

So at first you think, umm. weird. What's up with these Canadians? First they riot and now are oblivious to everything going on around them?? Grooossssss.

That's what I thought, at least. Wronnnggggg. They are not making out FYI. That poor girl got hurt when she was knocked over by rioters and her boyfriend was telling her it would all be okay.

So. I know I just blogged about forgiveness. And I know we are not supposed to be annoyed with people. So I am warning you. I am about to generalize. and I know that generalizing is bad and not everyone falls under this catergory, so. yeah. I am sorry. But it's my blog ;)


Unless you have been living under a rock and NEVER leave your house, you have probably noticed the increase of Canadians we have in our town.


The mall parking lot is usually a 1:5 ratio of Washington license plates to Canadian, and TJ Max and Costco probably is even higher. Fine. I don't care. They are free to shop wherever they want, and they bring money into our economy. And I mean, Canadians are cool! They seem very down-to-earth, chill and can throw a good party :)

That being said, I am DISGUSTED with their behavior after game 7 of the Stanley Cup last week.

Seriously... WHAT THE HECK?

150 people were sent to the hospital, including three STABBING victims and a man with crucial head injuries from falling off a VIADUCT? Nine cops were injured, including one who was hit in the head with a THROWN BRICK!

Umm.. People? Something is freakin' wrong with this. Seriously. MESSED UP.

My "favorite?" Do you know who Brock Anton is?

Prolly not. Either did I. But now everyone does. Especially the cops.

This is what Brock posted on his facebook status:

Maced in the face, hit with a Batton, tear-gassed twice, six broken fingers, blood everywhere, punched a f****** pig in the head with riot gear on, knocked him to the ground, through the jersey on a burning cop carflipped some cars, burnt some smart cars, burnt some cop cars, I'm on the news...One word...HISTORY :) :)

and then one of his lovely friends commented:
"Broccccck! take this down. It's evidence!"

How STUPID is this? and learn how the difference between "through" and "threw". Even besides just how AWFUL this is, is the fact that he is POSTING THIS? Seriously. Does he think he is invincible or what? I really don't understand.

Or this cool guy??? SERIOUSLY? Almost every SINGLE person has a cellphone with a camera/video recorder in their pocket AT. ALL. TIMES. Are you proud of this picture? Like what goes through his mom's head when she sees this????

Oooooh. This is even better, huh? Good idea, buddy! :) While you're at it, hit the ATM with your hockey stick and steal the money too! There were even looters! "OOOHHHH! YESS!!! I have always wanted a Louis Vuitton suit!! I better take two while they are there for the taking!" Hmm. Incriminating evidence? I think so.

I just look at these pictures in absolute awe. First: This was a HOCKEY game, and the scenes are identical to those in war-struck Afghanistan. A little perspective, people.

Also, I mean, it REALLY scares me what alcohol can do to your state of mind. (I am assuming most of these people were drunk?) I mean, I freak out when I drunk dial but THIS? Like to think you should POSE FOR A PICTURE IN FRONT OF A COP CAR YOU JUST SET ON FIRE? That worries me a bit....

I must say, I was rooting for the Canucks, and now? I am glad they lost :/ I know it isn't fair to generalize a few rowdy hooligans with all Vancouver citizens and hockey players, but it is hard to not be extremely disappointed in our neighbor city. :(

Especially considering I put up with those STUPID "GO CANUCK" car flags for weeks. Sorry, Roberto Luongo. Better luck next year. and get your peeps in line :)
