Praise 106.5

In between my rap stations, country and soft rock on my preset radio stations, I also listen to PRAISE 106.5 Famillyyyyy friendly station. (you know the jingle and it will now be stuck if your head if you are from the Pacific NW or Canada :)

It is so crazy to me how whenever I am flipping through my preset stations and land on PRAISE, I hear a song or some words of wisdom that speak STRAIGHT to my heart. It is always JUST what I need to hear at that moment and it just amazes me.

So, I had finished rocking out to 93.3 'cuz baby you're a fiiirrreeeeework, did a little country with Mr. McGraw and was practicing my falsetto with my soft rock favorites to "sometimes the snow comes down in June, sometimes the sun goes round the moooooon (I apologize for anyone driving next to me) when I flipped it over to PRAISE.

"Cast all your anxieties on the Lord. He WANTS them."

It was just the DJ talking before a "1/2 hour of non-stop music" but his words literally made my heart skip a beat.

How many times have I heard about casting my worries and anxieties (and boy, do I have a lot of those :) on the Lord. I have read ENTIRE books on this, done ENTIRE bible studies and prayed over and over and over.

The part that got me? That the Lord WANTS my worries, my problems and my biggest fears.

I always feel like I have the same problems over and over and it seems soooo petty to keep praying and praying and praying about them. Like God is getting annoyed and saying, "seriously? This is what you are bringing to me AGAIN?" Like I get embarrassed and think I should work on some worries on my own, and pray about more "important" things, like flooding and hurricanes.

But ya know what? He doesn't get annoyed with us. He doesn't get sick of our same worries and our same fears. He WANTS us to give them to him.

Is that reassuring or what?!!!!!!!

I think I am going to try and tune in to 106.5 more often when I'm on the road; sorry Lady Gaga, I will have to save your songs for the treadmill for the next couple of days :)

"Cast all your anxieties on the Lord. He WANTS them."
